3DG Wireless uses state-of-the-art Motorola Canopy equipment that not only provides you with incredible speed, but is also very secure. In fact, it is the same equipment used by many security conscious networks including the U.S government.

How it Works
The wireless technology of 3DG Wireless connects you to the Internet using a Motorola Canopy subscriber module (SM). Your SM connects wirelessly to one of our central distribution points or POPs (Point of Presence) nearest you. Our POPs are located on tower structures throughout Essex and Kent counties, ensuring that we have a large coverage area and you can get connected. Our patented technology uses relay points (boosts the Internet signal to your home or business) to connect your antenna and modem to the Internet gateway. Using relay points eliminates distance limitations of line based (DSL & cable) and tower based (traditional wireless) Internet access.

The 3DG Wireless antenna/modem is mounted on the roof, chimney, or eave of the customer's structure. Then an Ethernet cable (CAT5) is routed from the antenna/modem to the computer and is plugged into the network/Ethernet port. (See diagram below)
In a typical installation environment, our professional technicians will run a cable that will be routed along the outside of the house in a neat and clean fashion and go through one exterior wall to connect to the computer. In some cases, our technician may deem it best to route the cable through an attic or under the premises, however they are not required to do so and additional fees may apply for extraordinary installations.
